Espenlaub
Militaria
is located in Estonia, city Tallinn (European Union) and operated by
Espenlaub LTD. The company is owned by Dima T. and Aleks J.
who have been collecting militaria for more than 20 years.
Espenlaub is the name of the German Airfield - "Flieger-Horst Kommandatur 19", which was based in the years 1941 to 1944,
in Laksberg, Tallinn, Estonia (“espenlaub”
means the “aspen leaf” in German). We decided to use this name because we first found items there in
the old buildings about 20 years ago. We started collecting then and
later, in 1986 we first time in our life came to collectors meeting in Riga
(Latvia) and we
established our first contacts with the other great collectors.
Later, we found our collectable items in the theaters of Russia and
former USSR republics, and a lot of things you may saw in Europe and
USA with some theater stamps inside, actually came pass us or our
partners.
Most of Espenlaub
Militaria's
items are purchased directly from
WW2 veterans, Russian military stocks, theatres, other dealers. Also we have valuable
contacts in Russia and Belarus. Several trips are made each year to
evaluate and purchase militaria in countries such as Russia, Lithuania, Latvia,
Finland and Germany. We find a lot of stuff in old attics and buy it from the
old people. A network of contacts is established in USA, Central and
Eastern Europe.
Espenlaub
Militaria
hopes to provide you with new and
rare items, many of
which have never before been in collector's hands.
On our website you can find the items like original uniform, headgear,
steel helmets, equipment & awards, personal items, battlefield
relics and may be the items you need for your collection. Also we
offer some items for reenactors and post-1945 collectables. Our main interest and
specialty has always been WW2 German and Russian militaria, but we
always have a selection of other militaria on display, such as
Imperial German militaria and Imperial Russian militaria.
We would
like you to pay your attention to the fact that we live and work not
the thousands miles from the battlefields of the WW2, but exactly at
the places where the real WW2 actions were happening. It greatly helps us in the searching and buying the interesting and rare items of the War times. The results of our work you can see on this web site.
We
are also a collectors of WW II uniforms, so when you deal with us, you
deal with the collector who loves the
subject and military history as much as you do.
