Deutsche Ehrendenkmünze des Weltkrieges der Deutschen Ehrenlegion.
(German Honorary World War Commemorative Medal of the German Legion of Honour.) Awarded by the "Council of the Order" of the Union of Nationalist Soldiers to men or women who, during the 1st WW and after dutifully served the Fatherland.

This bronze medal, either gilded or coppered. Noteworthy is the portrayal of the winged Victory crowning a German soldier on the obverse. The reverse shows the Iron Cross 1st Class with oak leaves around the lower rim of the medal. Along the upper edge of the medal is the text "FÜRS VATERLAND" (For the Fatherland) in Gothic lettering.
This medal was first proposed in the autumn of 1917 but it took till 1921 before the "Council of the Order", which was to effect the actual awarding, was formed. Recipients had to pay for their medal themselves and could, if they so wished, be entered in the German Legion of Honour. This organization was divided in "Ritterschaften" (knight groups) and its members could call themselves "Ritter der Deutschen Ehrenlegion" (Knight of the German Legion of Honour).

The medal with the image of the cross of the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern; the reverse inscribed ‘FRIEDRICH WILHELM IV’ and dated 1848-1849 above and below the inscription, circumscribed ‘SEINEN BIS IN DEN TOD GETREUEN KRIEGERN’ (His warrior loyal unto death)

Established on 23 August 1851 by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia (at the same time as the Hohenzollern House Order).   It was made in the Royal Mint in Berlin (campaign medals manufactured there had a very distinctive suspender ring - called a ribbed eyelet - through which the ribbon ring was mounted).  It was given to combatant Prussian troops (officers, NCOs, and soldiers who had faithfully served) for service in the anti-revolutionary battles of 1848/1849.  In addition, it was awarded for Danish battles in 1849.

German WW1 Bayerisches cavalry KD 89 sabre with engraving : 1 Ulan.RGT. Kaiser Wilhelm II Koenig v. Preussen, and on the other side has Bavarian motto "In treue Fest", also the owner's markings on the blade B. Mehrhof. The blade is good, but as is after the owner's hand is unpolished and un-cleaned from some staining, which can be easily removed by the next owner. The handle is a bit cracked and show traces of hard use. Also the scabbards has some minor damages. Very rare example belonged to the officer of the First Ulan Regiment of the Imperator Kaiser Wilhelm 2, Life Guards.
