3rd Reich combat pioneer in Gebirgsjager regiment Alter-art visor hat. Slightly worn condition, trickot wool with felt band and pipings construction visor hat. It is a Alter-art type combat hat with period owner replaced visor (as can be seen on the pictures, there are old stitching visible on the sweatband area and all the stitching covered with a moth tracing and dust). The flatwire officer’s insignia is machine attached. The right part of the eagle wing’s stitching is period re-sewn with ha (probably this part was damaged due of wear). The hat is marked by maker: KOHL, Wien 75 Favoritenstr. 187. Hat has some moth damage in the piping area and some small rips on the top. The steel edelweiss badge between the Hoheitsabzeichen (eagle and wreath) shows the owner has served as a combat engineer in the Mountain troops regiment. Size 58-59
