Description

Luftwaffe m35 camo helmet. Brush applied gray-brown-green camouflage. Helmet size 61 / ET68. The left side has an eagle decal underneath the paint. The leather part of the liner together with the inner ring is replaced with an absolutely identical one taken from the similar liner made by the same maker and the same year. The outer ring of the liner is original to the helmet and not replaced. Here is the reason why we made this replacement: the helmet is known in collectors society from early 90’s and in the old printed photos we saw that originally helmet had dried and heavy damaged leather liner part. But into our hands the helmet came with the wrong, late war issued liner on the steel ring. So, we decided to return the helmet to its most historically authentic look and replace incorrect leather with inner ring to correct one. Signed by the owner with black paint on helmet's apron – “Skupin”. The chinstrap on the helmet is also not belonged to it, but its correct one, early war period made, marked with the acceptance of the Luftwaffe-LBA, as well as by Luftwaffe unit: Fl.H.Kdtr.Pütnitz and Fl.Schule Pütnitz. The strap is war period shortened by a soldier and is well matched by size and condition to the shell. Original camo helmet with all original parts in excellent condition with traces of front-line use.
