M1936 Salty German Wehrmacht tunic in the rank of Funker in the 29th Signals motorized battalion in Infantry regiment. A tunic with traces of strong frontline life has minor repairs and small holes from moths and wear, which generally does not spoil the overall condition of the tunic. The tunic with early pre-1940 year shoulder straps with chain embroidered ciphers "29" in lemon yellow, which corresponds to the Waffenfarbe color for signals troops of the Wehrmacht. In the second buttonhole of the tunic there is a ribbon of the medal "For the Eastern Campaign in Winter of 1941-1942". On the left pocket of the tunic, there are traces of awards and remains of the loops. The size is approximately 48-50 with a breast size of 96 cm. Aluminum belt hooks attached to the tunic originally. Infanterie-Nachrichten-Abteilung 29 (29th signals battalion ) was created on October 6, 1936, in Erfurt for the 29th infantry division. The unit fought in Poland, on the western front near Luxembourg and Dunkirk. At the beginning of operation Barbarossa, the battalion participated in defense operation near the Slonim ( Belorussia) in June 1941 from counterattacks of the Red Army. In July the battalion fought on the outskirts of Smolensk, and at the end of July the division took over Smolensk. In the fall of 1941, in combat as a part of 47 mechanized corps of Wehrmacht in the region of Orel and Bryansk. In 1942, the unit fought as a part of division near Stalingrad and was destroyed in Stalingrad in January 1943, partially surrendering to Red Army
