M40 ET 62 helmet in field sand paint camouflage

M40 ET 62 helmet in field sand paint camouflage for field units of the Luftwaffe. The interior of the helmet is painted with standard Luftwaffe factory gray. The helmet has been field depot reissue and replaced with a liner with an early aluminum ring dated 1939, after which the helmet was painted with feldgrau paint mixed with sand. The helmet has an ET-62 marking and a batch number of 84. The helmet is complete with an unmarked chin strap with a steel buckle. The leather part of the liner is marked in size 54
