Minensucher-Kriegsabzeichen Schickle/Mayer-design in Tombak. Excellent condition, highly detailed. Hard to find such a detailed badge. Most of them missed head's details etc. Nice patina. Highly recommended for your collection. This badge type hitherto attributed to BH Mayer because of L/18 marked examples matches the Schickle catalogue image right down to the character flaw in the lower part of the swastika. It likely originated with Otto Schickle before Mayer acquired some of Schickle's stock. It is now best referred to as the "Schickle-design" badge.
