Red Army winter hat Shapka- Oushanka, 1940 model. Introduced by order of the USSR People's Commissar of Defense No. 187 of July 5, 1940. GOST No. 1076-41. The hat was made according to the specifications of November 1941. The hat is made of khaki flannel fabric instead of gray flannel. Markings are not readable due to hard wear. Beginning of Great Patriotic War issue. Size approx. 58. Good condition with traces of frontline use.
