Russian WW2 M39, Ssch-39 steel helmet, LMZ-1940. Completed with early so called "German type" liner made of instant leather. Size stamp is visible, but the last digit is not very clear - POCT3? (or probably 2). The actual liner's size is 57 cm. Although the year stamp is not visible, but we know that the size stamp design we see on this helmet is typical for helmets produced in 1940. The chinstrap is from more early M1936 helmet and most probably was applied later. The rest of the front red star are still visible. The helmet is in very nice condition with age patina.
