A quite rare mountain cap issued to mountain troops of SA-Gruppe Südmark. Worn by Skijäger. Typical M43 design with two brown front buttons. Aluminum 2nd pattern eagle. One prong missing. Zinc RZM Edelweiss hand-attached on a pink colour wool rectangular patch which is machine-sewn to the cap. Brown-gold silk lining without markings. Brown sweat-band. Size 56 even "53" marked on the sweatband. No moth damage.
