Steel helmet SSh-40, the middle war example. Poor quality shell with sloping edges. Helmet is depot repainted  and originally installed leather chinstrap, which is broken in two places. The liner is made of low-quality blue cloth, the drawstring is made of German shoulder straps piping string. A small star is stamped on the visor of the helmet. Most likely the helmet was made in Stalingrad tractor's factory. The factory stamps are not visible and probably hidden under fat layer of paint. Size: POCT 2 (56-58 european).
