This is a mid-war type of Wehrpass documentation book issued to Anton Starha born in 1900 in Vienna.
He has started his military career in January 1918 in the 1st Rifle Regiment (Schuetzen Regiment 1). During the World War II he firtsly served in military supply depot of Vienna, then in 1941 transferred to a garrison unit 5. Komp. des Standort-Btl. z. b. V. Wien II - fifth company of the 2nd Garrison Battalion for special duty of Vienna.
In 1943 he was promoted to Oberfeldwebel and for WW1 he received a couple of austrian military awards (crosses). Some other interesting notes describing his military career in details.
