Description

Waffen SS Italian Camo M1943 "Charkow" Winter Uniform Parka with fur. The hard winter encountered at the Eastern front in 1941-42  and found the Germans completely unprepared with cold-weather garments.  After the winter of 1941-42, the OKH recognized the need for heavier winter clothing and in the spring of 1942 developing suitable clothes. The M43 fur-lined winter parka was issued in mid-1943 year and featured with a full-length button-up front closure. This camouflage M43  Charkow parka has been made from Italian camo cloth. Italian cloth has been widely used in the mid/late war on SS uniforms. The "Chakrow" Parka gotthis name because was used by SS units fighting during the operation Fredericus in the 1942 year in the Charkow (Kharkov city) and Donbas area. The parka featured with all the construction details - parka is made of Italian Camouflage cotton poplin with a standard pebbled field grey army buttons front closure with an overlapping wind flap and an integral hood, interior of the parka is fully lined with fur and grey viscose liner to the sleeves. Fleece-lined oversized hood to accommodate a helmet. Combat worn excellent condition in size approximately 52 European.
