Description

Wehrmacht Heer regiment Grossdeutschland M36 tunic in rank Rittmeister of the Aufklärungsabteilung des Schnelle truppen (armored or motorized scout’s unit). Sew-in shoulder straps with golden yellow piping is a rare unit in Grossdeutschland regiment. Flatwire type eagle is period  attached by the owner and same with all other insignia which is corresponding to the tunic’s wear. The tunic is period shortened  for about 5 cm. The left side shows the attachment for the dagger which has been allowed to wear for highest NCO’s.   All the buttons are originally attached, just one button on the center of the collar is missed. The cufftitle has some minor staining, but as mentioned - it corresponds the condition in wear in general.  Depot/Kammerstempel marked Erfurt 39 (E 39).  Ribbon in the buttonhole is missed, but traces of it are still there, we think it was  EK II cross. The loops on the breast show other combat awards like EK1 and most probably also Nachkampfspange.  Very good condition untouched rare tunic.
